Notebook for Beginning Woodturners

I've written a Notebook for Beginning Woodturners. It's designed to save you time and money buying your first lathe and tools. Eventually it will be available as an e-book. Meanwhile, email me if you're interested. I'll send you details.

Woodturning classes

I teach individual students in my own woodturning shop. I prefer to teach one person at a time, giving you full attention. No prior experience in woodworking is required. You don't need to have your own tools when you begin. I can help you pick out what you need most.

If you live too far away to come for weekly lessons, you might consider coming for a week or two. There are many pleasant cabins and bed & breakfast inns close by. Some are within walking distance of my shop.

I have several lathes, so you can work on your own project in my woodturning shop.

I can work with all ages, and of course I love to teach women. In the woodturning classes I attended years ago, I got almost no attention at all. This made it more difficult to learn. I'm happy to be able to give women now the kind of attention and respect that every student deserves.

Twelve is not too young an age to learn.

Women get full attention in my shop.
