I see these turned wood ornaments as functional sculpture. I encourage people to put them on a stand to enjoy them all year around. Later the ornaments can be handed down and enjoyed by others for generations.

This mahogany & spalted maple ornament:

When I look at this Christmas tree ornament, I always think of calligraphy. There are four spalted maple sides. Each one seems to tell a different message. Every time I see this ornament, it seems new again.

Special technique for turned wood ornaments:

This ornament is an example of a wood laminating technique I invented. As far as I know, I'm the only woodturner to laminate wood in just this way. My technique results in four images on each side of the ornament. Each image is slightly different.

This one is made of maple wood, with the design laminated with a composite wood called "Santa Fe."
